The House
Roberts & Co is a London jewellery and silver house, established in 2007. We make jewellery around clear forms, thoughtful materials and objects with a history of their own.
Design and proportion
Our work brings jewellery, silver and genuine historic coinage together. We look for clarity of form: the proportion of a setting, the fall of a chain, a distinctive surface or a detail that rewards a closer look. Each piece is described by its materials and construction, so the coin, setting and chain can be understood separately.
How we make coin jewellery · Materials & hallmarking
A coin already carrying its own story
Our coin jewellery begins with a genuine historic coin, originally struck by the Royal Mint. Its date, denomination, portrait, lettering and relief belong to the coin itself. We make the jewellery around that original object in-house; we do not mint or reproduce the coins.
Coins more than a century old are described as antique; later historic coins are identified by their date and period. Circulation leaves individual marks on each surface, making every coin distinct.
Jewellery and silver
The collections include rings, necklaces, earrings, bracelets and gentlemen’s accessories. Some designs are defined by a simple line; others by sculptural form, a stone’s colour or the meeting of polished and textured surfaces. Proportion shapes how each piece sits and feels: the scale of a setting, the profile of a band or the way a pendant rests at the neckline.

Made in-house, described with care
We carry out the jewellery-making processes in-house, including making and fitting settings, assembling necklaces and applying finishes. The historic coins were struck in their own time by the Royal Mint; Roberts & Co makes the jewellery that gives them a new form.
Sterling silver, solid gold and plated finishes each have their own properties. Product descriptions identify the materials used for each component, while our guides explain precious-metal descriptions, UK hallmarking and the care suited to each finish.

Objects with personal meaning
A date may recall a person, a place or an occasion. A familiar form may become part of everyday dress. A genuine historic coin brings its own particular marks and details; the wearer adds a further chapter.
