A comfortable fit starts with the right measurement and the right sizing system. Check the system shown on the product page before selecting your size.

Finding your fit

For the most reliable starting point, ask a professional jeweller to measure the finger on which you intend to wear the ring. Try a sizing band close to the width of the design you are choosing.

  • The ring should feel secure at the base of the finger and pass over the knuckle with gentle resistance.
  • Measure when your hands are at a comfortable, normal temperature. Very cold or warm hands can give a different result.
  • Check the intended finger and hand: the same finger on the opposite hand may be a different size.
  • If the fit is uncertain, check again before ordering rather than choosing a larger or smaller size by guesswork.

Band width and stacking

A broad band can feel closer-fitting than a fine band of the same nominal size. Several rings worn together also occupy more of the finger. When choosing a wider wedding band or a set of stacking rings, consider the combined width and try a comparable fit where possible.

UK, US and EU sizes

Roberts & Co offers listings in different sizing systems. UK sizes use letters, US sizes use numbers, and EU sizes commonly refer to the inside circumference in millimetres. These systems do not share identical increments, so a conversion is an approximation rather than a guarantee of fit.

Use the system named beside the product selector. The sizes and half sizes offered vary by design; the available options on that page are the ones you can order. If converting an existing size, have the inside diameter or circumference checked by a jeweller and confirm the nearest suitable size.

Measuring at home

A purpose-made ring sizer is a better starting point than string or a paper strip, which can stretch, twist or be pulled too tightly. Follow the sizer’s instructions and check that it passes over the knuckle as a ring would. Treat an uncertain home measurement as a guide and have it checked before ordering.

Before you order

Confirm the sizing system, selected size and quantity on the product page. For a set sold with one size selector, that size applies to the rings in the set. If you need help understanding a listing, contact Roberts & Co before ordering.
